My Candy Cloud Videos (Part 1 of Flavourlicious Land) were basically my first attempt at animation—think of them as storyboards with a generous helping of confusion and just a dash of, “Wait, how do you make this move?” Turns out, animating is trickier than herding a bunch of mischievous marshmallows. Honestly, it kind of felt like catching cookie crumbs sobbing because someone just ate their best friend.

I whipped these up back in 2020—a simpler time, before AI started doing everything except making my morning coffee. Seriously, why don’t I have a robot yet that delivers coffee directly to my bed? Watching my words leap off the page was an absolute treat—like seeing my writing turn into a chocolate fountain at an all-you-can-eat dessert buffet.

They say writers write to reveal themselves, and, well, I’ve learned I’d rather know a little bit less about myself. The real twist? Writing this revealed just how real my sugar/chocolate addiction is. I may not have mastered the art of animation, but I have discovered a healthy fear of my own creative process. Sometimes, writing teaches you a few too many lessons… honestly, ignorance is bliss.  Anyway, I hope you enjoy this sweet treat as much as I did whipping it up. And if your doodles start demanding snack breaks, don’t say I didn’t warn you!
